RecycleBank Banks $13.1 Million Series A Financing

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Green technology company RecycleBank announced the closing of its first round of financing, garnering $13.1 million from two venture capital firms.

RecycleBank provides environmentally conscious consumers with a variety of recycling programs in return for RecycleBank dollars that they can use to receive goods and services from participating retailers.

RRE Ventures LLC and Sigma Partners invested in the round.  The company said it plans to use the funds to expand the number of geographical areas that it offers its programs.
